Expand Your Boundaries!

Take your SCUBA skills to the next level. During your Deep Diver course, you’ll learn how to plan deep dives, manage your gas supply, and how to identify and manage narcosis.

You’ll learn about buddy contact procedures, safety considerations, and buoyancy control at depth. 

When you dive below 18 metres/60 feet, there are special safety considerations. If you’re ready to expand your boundaries, one of our professional instructors will help you gain the skills and confidence to explore to a maximum depth of 40 metres/130 feet.

Course Equipment Requirements

In addition to basic scuba equipment, we recommend bringing a dive light and slate. Ask your Instructor or the Dive Center what you need to provide for the course. We have rental gear available for an additional cost. 

Each student will be responsible for providing the following gear:

  • BCD
  • Regulator
  • Dive Computer
  • Mask, Fins, Snorkel, Etc. 
  • Exposure protection (if needed)

When enrolled in a course with Space Coast Dive Center you will receive a 10% student discount on all gear purchases. 

Course Prerequisites

Age Requirement:

15 years or older

Course Prerequisite: 

Open Water Diver certification

Each diver must be medically fit to dive. Contact the dive center for more information & to obtain a diver medical form.  

How do I get Started?

During three open water dives with one of our instructors, you will practice descents, buoyancy, and safety stops. Through hands-on exercises, you’ll discover how deep dives affect color, physical objects, and your brain.

What’s Included?

This course includes the following:

  • Academic materials
  • Professional instruction
  • 4 dives off of a boat (you will be certified after the 3rd dive)
  • Use of tanks during the course. 

How long will this take?

Entire course: 2-3 days (dives must be completed over a minimum of two days)
